Recipes with Coffee

Every morning some of us reach first for a hot cup of coffee, but there are many delicious ways to get your coffee in the morning if you so desire. Sometimes it’s nice to change up your coffee routine. Here are a few fun recipes that incorporate coffee into your day.

Coffee Smoothie
½ cup of cold coffee
½ banana
½ cup unsweetened almond milk
1 scoop of vanilla protein powder
handful of ice
Mix all of the ingredients for a yummy smoothie that satisfies your craving for something really sweet and sugary at the local coffee shop. This makes a great breakfast or a perfect afternoon snack.
Coffee Oats
½ cup old fashioned oats
¼ cup coffee
¼ cup unsweetened almond milk
½ scoop vanilla protein powder
In a jar, combine all ingredients. Give it a shake and chill overnight.

Coffee with Protein
1 cup coffee
1 Tb protein powder
Simply add a tablespoon of protein powder to your coffee for a filling treat for breakfast or to keep from afternoon snacking.

Espresso Breakfast Balls
1.5 cups of old fashioned oat
¼ cup vanilla protein powder
¼ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon instant coffee
½ c. almond butter
½ c. maple syrup or honey
Mix together the oats, protein powder, salt and coffee in a medium bowl.
Micorwave the almond butter and maple syrup for 30 seconds until it easily stirs together.
Add oat bowl to almond butter bowl, mix and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Roll into balls and store in airtight container.
