Highland Village downs sale of mineral leases

The Highland Village City Council Tuesday evening authorized Mayor Charlotte Wilcox to send a letter in protest to the Bureau of Land Management’s announced sale of mineral leases for a 258.90 acre tract of land adjacent to Lewisville Lake.

The property is mostly located in Hickory Creek with a small portion in Highland Village city limits. The deadline to submit a protest is February 19 and must be done by mail or fax.
