Cinnamon Creek Ranch Just Got Bigger

Cinnamon Creek Ranch Just Got Bigger

by Susan Neuhalfen

Cinnamon Creek Ranch has always been a well-kept secret in North Texas, but following their recent expansions and improvements to the property, you won’t believe what they’ve done now.

What started as a family-owned and operated wild game business has not only become one of the premier archery facilities in the country, it’s grown into a first-rate destination for any event imaginable.

“We’ve hosted corporate team building, scout banquets, school banquets, reunions, team parties, political dinners and fundraisers,” said Nola Musacchio, co-owner of Cinnamon Creek Ranch. “We can accommodate just about any occasion, indoors or out, casual or elegant, under the stars or under the roof.”

Cinnamon Creek Ranch redefined archery, designing outdoor shooting areas like a golf course with 3D targets that even include a tree hunting course with stands and all. Once players finish one course, they move to the next, keeping score much like golf.

They built two indoor archery rooms downstairs and one entire room upstairs to host tournaments, complete with bleachers.

They opened one of the largest archery shops in the country, selling bows from fourteen different manufacturers as well as everything under the sun an archer would ever need.

Joe and Nola Musacchio have now expanded again and have made it the perfect venue for any event.

The new outdoor covered pavilion seats over 140 people, with elegant lights strung across the room, a stage for bands or presentations and rows of huge picnic tables, all overlooking the countryside
and Henrietta Creek. Soon the outdoor patio will stretch to the creek, have cornhole, big Jenga, beer pong and horseshoes. Additionally, the outdoor bar will seat large groups enjoying the ambiance of the fire pit, wood-burning pizza oven and music.

The new indoor event facility is 24,000 square feet of fun. The birthday room is a perfect stop for the kids’ celebrations. For smaller groups, they serve sodas, water and hot dogs or pizza. Each party is unique and hosted by a minimum of two instructors, helping them learn all about archery and safety while they shoot arrows at balloons and play games. Just on the other side of the archery rental area is a game room, complete with arcade games including Big Shot 3D video archery.  Users can shoot zombies, snakes or spiders, or bring their own videos to shoot soft arrows on the gigantic video screens.

For the older kids (and kids at heart), they’ll set up archery tag (much like paintball but with soft arrows). They also have hover balls that float which makes for a great archery challenge.

Stools line the width of the 18,000 square foot archery room, seating observers behind glass for tournaments. There is a balcony area to watch all of the fun as well. The room itself is perfect for team building, parties, and tournaments with up to 120 targets ready for set up.

For a typical event, they set tables of food and beverages up and down the center of the venue allowing mingling and “harassing” of the teams. It’s a great dynamic for a team-building event because the teams can all intermingle within the large facility versus separating at holes on a huge golf course all day.

“Archery really is the new golf,” says Joe. “You can feel the energy when everyone is working together. They act like family at the ranch. It’s a great choice for team-building, large or small.”

Many of their corporate clients have commented what a great, all-inclusive event it is for all of their employees.

“You can team-build in your shorts and flip flops,” said Joe. “And because archery is easy to learn, once they’re fit with the right bow, the playing field is equal for everyone.”

The meeting room upstairs has table seating (both round tables and conference desk tables) up to 120. A projection screen is at the front of the room while the back is set up for food service. Speaking of food, Joe is still cooking all of those delicious dishes served at Cinnamon Creek Ranch – everything from traditional Texas BBQ to Kobe steaks and shrimp to a whole hog stuffed with jambalaya. Whatever you do, don’t pass up the Cinnamon Creek wS’More Tortillas.

Cinnamon Creek Ranch still hosts archery tournaments, monthly Couples by the Creek date night events, veterans’ events, group and individual lessons and so much more. Whether you’re seeking family fun, team building or a Texas-style wedding, make sure you come and visit the best-kept secret in North Texas, Cinnamon Creek Ranch.
